Someone shared this interview over youtube and I can’t leave it out of this site. I could listen to her all day. Such beautiful English!
Deborah talks about how her very first part in a film with Conrad Veidt got cut out, then her “discovery” by Gabriel Pascal, her first films in the UK and her moving to Hollywood up to her part in “From Here to Eternity”. She also talks about her “singing” bits in “The King and I” and “An Affair to Remember”.
*Edit — Anna pointed out to me that these were excerpts from a 1977 radio show that’s available through BBC Radio 4 website so, there you go: Listen and enjoy.
(Thank you Anna!)
